"So! Kalandra, whats your favorite food? I'm a pretty good cook, ill whip you up whatever you like!" Selena hopped up onto the counter and she swung her legs back and forth. With her mind she opened the fridge door and the pantry, she looked across the kitchen and inspected its contents carefully..."So, what'll you have?" Selena gave a huge friendly smile.

"I'll try anything... I do like fairycake though but that's more of a desert. I guess we could have hotdogs maybe... I wasn't aloud to eat that at the castle." said Kalandra

"No hotdogs!?! Well then hotdogs it is!!!" The hotdogs and buns and ketchup and mustard levatated out of the fridge and on to the counter. Selena washed her hands and turned on the mini grill in the kitchen. "Oh this is gonna be too much fun! How come you weren't allowed to have hot dogs at the castle???" Selena put the hotdogs on the grill and they sizzled. It smelt amazing!

"We weren't aloud to have hot dogs mainly because 'proper young ladies' didnt eat such things." replied Kalandra. "The best tasting thing we were aloud to have were pancakes and they were full of bran. So even they were gross. I could only have junk food on my birthday or on special occasion like my title ceremony and such. The hotdogs smell great! You're a great cook! I'm not very good since the castle had a bunch of fancy cooks. Not that they cooked very well. You cook much better than the lot of them and you should see how much they got paid. Anyways, you might sense I dont like my family very much. The reason why is because I was a changeling in the human realm for the first 5 years of my life. My 'replacement' was killed instead of me by the rebels. I know they were trying to protect me from the rebellers but I'll never forgive them." she sighed. "Anyways, enough about me. Why are you here? If you don't mind me asking, I'm just a bit curious."

"Ewwie!" Selena gagged a little. "Bran... PANCAKES! Thats like... just no! Not cool, hahaha" Selena took the hot dogs off the grill and put them in the buns. "Ketchup or mustard? Here I'll lets you fix your own." She slid the hot dog and the bun across the counter to Kalandra. "I'm sorry about your childhood, that must have been really hard for you..." There was a brief silence and then a *splat* when the ketchup nearly exploded out of the bottle. "Hahaha sorry bout that!" Selena cleaned up the mess then took a bit. "So about me..." Selena said with a mouth full of food. She swallowed then continued. I am here, becasue well jeez ok, I'll start... ok. So! My parents, Dad is a Warrior, and my Mother is a Healer, she is alot like me infact. One night my uncle Savan woke me up to tell me my parents were gone and we had to go looking for them, long long story short, my parents are with Killeshia, which is like the she devil, and my four brothers, well one is dead... and the other three are either hurt or in hiding. Now my uncle Savan brought me here, he knows i can protect myself and that i will make wise choices. My uncle comes and visits every now and again... But i miss him..." Selena looked at the floor and rubbed her tears away. "Are your allergies acting up because mine sure are..." She lied.

Kalandra sensing it would be best not to probe her friend anymore replied "Naw, I don't have any allergies. You know, my parents were like yours except for the fact that my father was a healer and my mother was a warrior. My mother eventually died in combat. That's why my father became so shrewd and bitter...or so I've been told. She was apparently his soulmate, the one he lived for and when she died, he stopped living. Everyone's supposed to have one out there." She replied. "Have you found you Eleverai yet. He could come in handy in combat if we run into any more of those nasty gremlins." Kalandra said. "And... the she devil, I may know of who you speak. I believe that she is in fae, the one known as The Empress Varinka or the Dark Sorceress. I've a score to settle with her." For a moment Kalandra's eyes darkened but the darkness was gone as quickly as it had come. Then, Kalandra took a bite out of her hotdog. "MMMMM delicious." she said. "You're a really good cook."

"Oh ya, he is out in the history of fairies classroom, we could go and meet him if you like, he doesn't talk too much. I must tell you though, he changes, his facial features i mean. But you can always recognize him by the wings, and he doesn't wear a shirt so its quite obvious!" Selena washed her hands and took a swig of juice. "Thanks! You know i've had to spend most of my time cooking for my family, so i've had my practice."

"Yeah, I think it would be good to meet him." Kalandra replied. "He sounds interesting. Thanks for lunch, it was really good. Maybe we should go see him now."
